I use my scrubbies on my arm pits, and wet dry filter......Mostly on the wet/dry........Scrubbies are used inplace of bio balls........As you may know, bio balls cost an arm and a leg, so people divert themselves and spen a fraction of what they are worth on scrubbies.......Going to Chinatown and looking through the local mom and pop shops will turn up scubbies costing a $1 for 10.........Purchasing $20 worth is the same as $100 worth of bio-balls in mass...........

hahaha this i know guys, but exactly where in your sump?
and i know people use them on other filters as well

where the bio balls normally go, or if it's a DIY sump, in whatever chamber you choose. bio balls and scrubbies dont works as good in other filters, like canister filters

oh ok. nvm. it sounded like it could have made a cool thread.

In my current ghetto sump, they are in a basket under the floss stage. They are always partially immersed but the water level changes as it evaporates through the week and I often wonder if I'm constantly drowning my bacteria as they grow...or enhancing the aeration without losing them as it drops.
