How does this live rock look?

I got this Live Rock for $3 a pound. Does it look good or bad? Since I'm new to this hobby I don't really know what is good, bad or ok. So please tell me how the rock looks.

It looks like rock. As to the life on it, it looks like you have a bit of die off. It'll be fine.

Unless you get your LR FRESH...(where you can still see the original ocean life on it) only time will be able to really tell you what the quality of the rock will be. Wait and see...hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised as different things start to pop up around your tank and on your rock.
