How Does This Sound For A Start?

I am wanting to get a few (5ish) posion dart frogs so how does it sound to get:

A 30 x 30 x 45 glass terrarium
Coco fibre substrate
5 live plants which are suitable for terrariumS and and sturdy enough for frogs to sit on
Get a few branches from outside and clean them up etc
A shallow water dish

Does that all sound ok?

Personally I'd add a false bottom with coco fiber on top and then leaf litter.

yes false bottoms are very important.

You may always want to get some leaf litter. It helps with the look of the tank and to help make the frog more secure with places to hide. It also gives flies, springtailes, places to hide.

The more plants the merrier

And the water bowl is not needed.

i suggest bromeliads the work great for my whites and hold little pockets of water that would be just the right size for the little guys to tuck up in.

More Factors are needed before we give to much advice like which type of Frogs your getting is needed. Many Varieties of Frogs can not be housed in larger numbers than a single pair, while others are better suited for Social Groups.

The wood found locally usually do not hold up well in very humid conditions and some species sap can be dangerous to Animals.

The size of tank depends on the species you get and how many you get. But No matter what you get the generous rule is the Bigger the better.

The Plants generally recommended is Broms as most people want to breed. I use a Wide Variety of Tropical plants.

a big help for you would be to go to dendroboards
also what frogs are you getting as that can have a big part in your setup
