I would drop the tiger barbs no doubt and go for the silver dollars. The barbs will harass the fins of the other fish, giving you more unwanted aggression. Also, are the cons m/f? Everything else sounds good, as long as your willing to rehome the carpintis in the future if you need to.

Just got 1 male convict right now...was goign to buy another pink one tommorow....is it best to pair them aswell? or get another male?

Are Texas pretty bad then? as in worse than a Green Terror?...I dont mind rehoming her...just wouldnt mind keeping her if i had the chance.

Silver Dollars are ok...i just prefer tiger barbs....plus i dont wanna over stock as they get quite big.

Whats the likley hood of my Green Terror pair tearing everything else up when they breed? or is the tnak bg enough for them to leave them alone and chase them away? they say 75g for a pair..and this is a 100g :S

The clown loaches will eventually outgrow it but otherwise it should work pretty well.

Silver dollars are probably a better idea than tiger barbs.

There is only one left...the Mbunas i used to keep killed the rest (Clown Loaches) they take a loooooooong time to grow and i think my tank is just big enough for him...I'm not gonna buy more tho because its gonna be a risk with the GT's anyway.

Just bought 2 female barred Cons @ 1" nice colouration...although one looks liek a T-Bar x Convict.

Got some Anuibus to go around the wood in my tank....didnt get no Silver Dollars because they wanted £12.95 for them!!!!!!! ($25 each)...normally they are £4 each max... will go somewhere else for them another day.

Thinking baout gettign a black background for my tank to.

The GT's don't seem bothered by them.

well it also depends on how old the texas is. before texas cichlids hit puberty its really docile. but as after it reaches 4 or 5 inches they will get much more aggressive. the texas will have a much better chance with a GT if you give it a little time to grow out.
