how effective is prime, and how do you use it during waterchanges? i feel like my tap is still harming my fish, could be paranoia. i take 50 gallons out of my tank but use 125 g worth prime. is this good or. and is it good to shake b4 use?

I take out about 50-60% of the water and then dose the tank with prime to amount for the entire water volume of the tank and fill it back up. Never had any issues at all...
I dose for the whole tank when filling directly, but on smaller tanks I pre treat the water. IMO Prime is the best dechlorinator out there, except for the smell.
I dose for tank size not water removed. This might be wrong but its never failed me so no need to fix it if it aint broke.
