HOW FAR HAVE YOU DRIVEN FOR A FISH?

Today was my day off so I went looking for a fish for my 125. I drove over 200 miles and didn't find what i was looking for(not that I know what that is). That led me to a thought/query. How far would I go for the perfect fish at the right price? How far have you driven looking for a fish or to purchase/pickup a fish?

600 miles (round trip) for a black arowana and a tig.

One time across the entire state of California and back to pick up a tank and some Red Belly's THAT MAYED IT THE WHOLE WAY BACK TOO. I was going to San Diego for a wedding anyways and just mayed that a stop on the way back out of town.

100+ total miles (got lost). 1 hour drive both ways to go to that pet place in lancaster, pa. Nice place but i only left with some plants and a peppermint pleco. I love him but that was a long ass drive for 2x 17 year olds.

and were doing it again on black friday, at 8 am after a trip to best buy lol.

3 times this year Ive driven close to 300 miles round trip to club auctions for the opportunity to buy fish

lol thats a record. not just to buy a fish, but the chance of buying a fish! lol

i never really went much more than 50 miles to buy fish but i did go from Mass.. to Oregon with 12 Disucs the trip took us 9 days as we spent 3 days in MN ... after setting their tank back up i only lost one fish about 3 months later

40-50 miles one way..Maybe I will do 70 miles one day but not sure..
