Just curious really...Mine seem to be growing WAY faster than anything else in the tank, cyps and synodontis included.

Everyone's getting a lot of food, they're being fed twice a day and nothing even hits the floor of the tank. I heard these guys grew slow...? :D

On a side note...How do I get rid of the freaking green algae growing in my sand?!

they only grow small when babies. and how long are your lights on? keep it to 8-10 hours a day and no sunlight from a window and it will help algea. if its horrible even leave lights off for like 2 days.

Ahh yes, I think my lights are on too long. I just like to watch them all day :D. Thanks

get a timer, make it turn on later in the day if you want it on longer at night but make sure no sunlight is getting to it either

Atimer will be your new best friend. If the prob. is bad, kil the lights for a few days. With all the feeding, whats the WC schedule like? More food, even if it is eaten, will cause more waste. Sounds like the Fronts like the feed bag....

WC as in water change? Weekly, I have a hookup and just drain/fill it really easily. I do all the gravel vac'n too so the water quality is fantastic. It's purely visual :).
