How fast does an temensis grow? I was planning on picking one up to the collection at 12 inches and I'm buying it because ive heard they grow to monsters.. But what should i expect in growth?

They are probably one of the fastest growing Cichla, but with proper nutrition and housing you could see 12in in the first year. 24in the following year could be expected. These guys will grow more length wise than width, while they have room for growth. For an adult Temensis, 3 feet is common.
