So my turtle made a huge mess in her tank when she ate an egg that she laid, anyway had to do a 100% water change and forgot to add declhorinator. Woke up the next morning and realized i had forgoten and added it. That evening I put bio media from an AC 50 on another tank (which i just sold all the fish from) it the turtle's filter to help re-seed the damage i had done. Next morning the tank has a milky white haze which i know is the bacteria population growing so i'm on the right track.
I was wondering about how long until it would be fully cycled again. This tank has been up and running fully cycled for about 2 years now.
Also I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what a safe level was that the ammoina could get up to durring this time. I know it should always be zero and it usually is, I just want to know at what level I should do a water change.
This is on a filled 75 gal. with a fulval 404. Only the turtle is in there.
So i posted this is the wrong place but can't figure out how to delete it and repost in the right place.
