How fast will he grow

Hello all can anyone tell me how fast will my marbel gar grow he's in a 48g tank now I know it will be to small for him when he's full grown he's 7 inchs now but how much time do I have to get a bigger tank looking for 500g but that takes time unless u got a lot of money

i think you will be needing a bigger tank very soon. i had 4 florida gars and i had them when they were 4"s but now they are 11"-14" in three months plus my 180gl help alot with that aswell. i have them housed at my moms house next to her 90gl and 125gl. when i go over there wensday....ill take a few pics for you
 
the only marble gar that I know is a species of pike characin which is not gar! I believe that they only grow to around 1 foot long!
 
Yeah, marble gar pike characins get to around 12-16 inches I believe

Try to don't have a real computer and apparently my smartphone is not very smart but I'm on it and I measured him this morning 8 inches he grew an inch in a week he's growing fast going to get bigger tank today

inch a week? sound like an Alligator gar!
 
also curious on this topic! i have my gar (about 7 inches) currently in a 55gallon tank but am looking into a 110-150 gallon within a month. how long should that last before needing an upgrade? ballpark figures are okay!

depend on what kind of gar! what kind of gar do you have! And I suggest you start a new thread!
