Hey I've got a senegal bichir and I was wondering how fast will he grow. He's at about 3.5 to 4 inches right now. I feed him on a regular daily basis. I feed him pellets and bloodworms and he'll occasionally get a bite out of a feeder fish. I was just wondering when he'll be around the 7 to 8 in area if I continue to feed him like this.

Feeding is only 1/2 the battle, keeping the water clean and changed regularly will also keep it growing well. I don't know how fast they grow but mine is noticeably larger in a month, from a little less than 4" to a little over now, just guessing but he is definitely larger than when I got him.
I bought mine a couple months ago and they were tiny! The external gills must have just dropped off of them. I have noticed when I feed them Earth worms they tend to go on a growing streak. I keep the water warm and clean and they are now approaching the 7-8inch mark.
They grow pretty quick i'd say with clean water and a proper diet it will grow to 7''-8'' in 5 months or so
