How fast would Mono grow with powerfeeding?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They tend to grow much faster when being fed Live food. Namely fish. They already grow one to two inches per month... And have seen MANY people complain about growth while feeding non live and pellets. and Many complain about how fast they grow on live :D

If you are going to power feed make sure you know what it is :)

im using fathead minnows . BIG ONES !

Good food to feed until they get bigger and then I personally would mix up their diet and start feeding other foods. But DMACK I believe feeds fatheads too and I think that's all he feeds. So either way good food to feed them.

And yeah you should see about 1" or so a month at least until 12" and then they might slow a little but they'll still grow rapidly.

from what ive seen they will grow to 1 to 2 inches a month until around 12-14 inches then slow to under an inch a month

my tems were growing at an inch a month fer 2 months whilst i was power feeding htem feeders, since then ive dropped off dramatically so i can get as much life out of my 180 gallon as possible...even with ur mono u could get an inch a month...just be careful not to over feed!

i grew out 3 mono's from 1.5" to 8" in a little less than 6 months by feeding them live minnows/ goldfish every day, with 50% water changes every 4 days.

Keep up with water changes, feed heavily ( take a 2 day fasting brake ). keep temp around 86* and add vita chem to the water and there food. Should speed up the growth alot.
