how frequent do you feed your tigers?

Genes play a bigger part than just pure pellets. Even we can have 10 dats from same parents same batch all fed on same food I bet the growth will be different. IMHO just feed a variety of foods, feeding a pack or two of massivores per week for a dat might be quite ridiculous for the pocket.

If genes play a big part then all of the same tigers from the same batch should have the same mum and dad which = the same genes

Or am I missing something in your post

take example for humans, not all brothers will grow up to be same looking or same build or same height even if they eat the same food.

so do u mean that all tigers fed on pellets will grow up fast and huge? what u are implying on your earlier posts is that pellets is the only superior food and the rest are junk.

Same batch does not mean same parents...

Did I fogey to mention in the 2 year test I had the 2 IT and 1 NGT all went into the tank at 10 inch
One IT fed only on prawn the other IT and NGT were eating pellets from day 1
The IT only on prawn is now 12inch the other IT on pellets is 16inch and the NGT I just sold was 15 inch and the biggest NGT I have ever seen
What's the point in other people telling you stuff on forum if people don't want to take note
Maybe if this info came from anyone else apart from me then I would get a response like great info.bro or that's the best tiger I have ever seen
But forums would be a very boring place without me

Nutritional value of shrimps and prawns
Prawns and shrimps are an extremely good source of protein, yet are very low in fat and calories, making them a very healthy choice of food.

Although shrimps and prawns have a high cholesterol content, they are low in saturated fat, which is the fat that raises cholesterol levels in the body and is bad for you. For this reason, there is no need to avoid eating shrimps or prawns, as the cholesterol in the food is not the same as the cholesterol in one's blood.

Meat and dairy products are also sources of protein but they tend to be very high in calories and saturated fat. A 4 oz (115 g) portion of shrimps contains almost half the recommended daily protein needed but only contains 112 calories and less than 1g of fat.

Shrimps and prawns do contain a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, but these fatty acids are good for you and help prevent against heart disease, circulatory diseases and many other types of illnesses.

Prawns and shrimps also contains high levels of vitamin B12, zinc, iodine, phosphorous, potassium, selenium and iron and have smaller quantities of calcium, magnesium and sodium.

Many of these vitamins are essential for healthy skin, bones and teeth.

I feed my 10"+ IT twice a day. Massivore, food sticks, fd srimp, and fd krill. Also, do water changes as often as possible, to get out all the gunk.

Looks like this thread is getting back on topic.

you need cals to substain a healthy body weight

a tiger in the wild would spend most of its day hiding waiting for food so doesnt burn off many cals in a group of tigers in a tank they burn off far more cals chasing each other

a man needs 2000 cals per day if that same man was eating 2000 cals per day and was running 10 mile per day he would need a much higher cal intake yes or no

this could be why a lot of tigers look skinny unlike mine who gets the cals he needs
if you look at that old pic posted in another thread showing a large tiger in a small tank with small kids sitting around that tiger was hooked out of the wild and has the exact same body shape as mine which shows how a tigers of that size and age is ment to look so if im feeding wrong and others are feeding right why are other tigers of that age and size look much more skinny than mine or the one in the small tank

am i missing something as that pic cant be right when people want it to be but wrong if used to prove my point
