So i usually get walmart smart price prawns for them - they are 220g but pretty small so they take about half a bag in a sit in and then a few shovels of pellet.

I saw some nice sized Jumbo prawns today - 240g.

I thought i'll try those as they are thick and chunky they should fill them up pretty quickly and be more cost effective - they actually showed me how much they can handle.

I put my first load in which all disappeared before falling 6" through the water, i then repeated this 4 times before the whole bag had gone and not ONE prawn touched the sand. They do actually look full now but jeez it took a full bag of prawns.

My Orino only took one so it was basically 3x mono and 1x pinima who managed all that - many people have bigger and more bass than me so what do you guys feed yours in a good sit in?

How much do you actually have to spend to keep these lads full and how many bass and what size bass are you feeding?

Lets see who feeds the most :D

How big are they?

I have one 12" mono and I feed him 3-4 full shrimp and appx 5 jumbo carnisticks in one sitting but that's every other day. U dont have to feed them that much if their large.

A lot of people power feed till they get them to the size they like and then cut back to every other day..... At 12"+ they can go days without food.

Theyre in the 18" mark, i took some pics but cant seem to get the app to upload them, i know i dont have to feed every day its more to do with the greed of them and just how much food they can actually get down

Ok well they are greedy pigs. I bet if allowed, my one mono ocell would eat 6-8 full shrimp and A hand full of pellets in one feeding a couple times a day. But that would just be a hella waste of money lol and dirty water

My one greedy 10 inch occelaries can take 4 one inch goldsfish and thats twice a day, I have switch them to 3 inch size goldfishes as these are cheaper and makes them fuller compared to the smaller goldfishes, but not as much fun.

I would not say greedy, its typical eating behavior of predators to gorge themselves as they dont know when the next meal would be.

They like to eat a lot.
I feed every other day.
I have 6 cichla and 3 bichirs.
In one feeding they will eat..
20-40 hikari jumbo sticks
20-40 massivore pellets
20 med size market shrimp.

CIchla are pigs!
