i saw one at lfs for relatively cheap price about 5 inches more or less. said its an indo green but doesnt look green at all to me. the scales werent as prominent as i expected too... anyone has pics of a mature one? i have seen a really shiny green arowana on a magazine before. if thats the same kind im buying it for sure.

they stay green.. but not gumby green on anything.. its a light shade of green at best.. they do however get bright green "eye shadow".. if you are wanting it to be a green version of a red arowana you are in for a great big letdown..

Yeah, I find "silvery-purpleish" to be more accurate...

are the fins of indo greens normally yellow, orange, and red?
No, they're grey and maybe a tint of green. When there is color, it's usually cross bred.

yeah nice sized fish but the scales dont impress at all...

I like greens for their prominent horse shoe patterns. If you're not going to be satisfied, I say save some more bucks and go for the rtg :naughty:
