hello, I have not seen any Leichardti around me and i want one. Can anyone tell me the common price for a small one, and also if you know any reputable online sites to order one from? Also, how fast do they grow and how big do they top off at? would a 125 be big enough? 180?

125 would not be big enough, 180 would be pushing it for maybe 2 years. They are very hard to come by you might never see one in a LFS. Rich the vendor for Infinite Aquatics in the vendor forum still has some, they are usually 200+ he is selling 3" ones for 65 dollars + shipping. Really cheap probably the cheapest you will ever find them.

too bad your not here in hawaii one of the Lfs here just got a shipment of Leichardti' s

For only being on the board for a month, you seem to be quite informative :)

lol i try :headbang2:headbang2

btw Gourami Swami is this your first aro? you should experiment with a Jardini they basically need the same care and are cheaper.

I have had a silver but i only had a 180 and i gave him away, knowing my tank would become too small. I would like to try a jardini, but have read of their super agressiveness. I want to be able to keep more than one fish in the tank :) The aro would be in a 72 bow until it it big enough to go into a 125 with big fishies. I also have an empty 180 that I would rather NOT set up, seeing as i dont have nearly enough room.

Well your right about going for the leich if you want other fish, but that 125 would probably be good for a 1 or 2, depending on your leich's aggression he might also go psycho and try to jump out, Steve_89 had his leich in a 180 and it refused to stay there and now he has it in a pond/pool :)
