Lets say I had a pair of marbled motoros (I dont, wish to God I did), a tank in the 300-500 gallon ballpark, with both well-fed, happy, and in good health. Lets even say both were bred in captivity. What are odds of producing some babies, and how many could I expect? What, if any, extra accomodations would I have to make to produce and care for one or more pups? Is there something I would need to do to get them in the mood? Are they like reptiles, where they need a winter cooling period, then a spring warming period to breed? Anything at all, or do they just go at it if theyre a happy, healthy couple? Tips, tricks?

I dont even have rays yet, but when I do I would love to give breeding a shot. Ray pups do to me what puppies and kittens do to little girls! :D

Thats all there is to it?

For a fail safe, 3 tanks are usually required to breed rays.

First tank is their home, second tank is to take the female out if the male is getting too violent, to rest the female ray between pregnancies and a third smaller tank to grow out the pups, which some bigger rays may kill or injure.

its easy

just take care of the tank and it will happen

Huh, alrighty then. I will take the extra tank into consideration when I go for it, its already expensive as it is but since its only a holding tank it doesnt have to be anything special...
