Just strip everything down and give it a deep clean, if that's living coral then you could sell, to make up the hole in your wallet

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

why cant i ever find deals like this man sometimes living in saskatchewan is not so cool all the best tank deals are either west or east coast of canada or in the states

but CONGRATS ON THE SCORE

If it has a lot of coralline algae built up on the glass then you may want to soak it first with bleach water. After changing the water add a gallon of vinegar or better yet muriatic acid to the full tank and let it sit a couple days. You should be able to wipe off what's left with a rag.

Are all of these cleaning methods OK for acrylic tanks?

All of the suggestions seem to be ok for glass, but you should be carefull what you use on acrylic. I bought a used 240 (acrylic) and there are some areas where you can tell someone used some cleaning solution that wasn't intended for acrylic and there are blemishes/crazing in those spots. The suggestions may be ok, but I'm just saying look into it before you get to work.
