I have a new, very small senegal bichir, and I've been going through several of the food on beblondie's list, among which is small (but still wiggling) chopped earthworm, in addition to bloodworm, and sinking carnivorous pellets. But my bichir seems to really eat only the earthworms. He attacks them with gusto and even deathrolled the first peice I cut too large. So I wanted to know how healthy they were. Is it all right for them to one of the mains of his diet untill he grows out and hopefully into other foods. I'm getting them from my own land, which is controled enough that I'm confidant they're not contaminated in any way. I'm more interested in their inate nutrition. I can't find a nutrition fact, or ingrediants list anywhere on the stupid things, given its hard to tell beacuse they move a lot.

i feed my bichirs earthworm once 2 week, nothing is wrong

In general, I believe earthworms are a good food for fish. They should not be fed exclusively, and a varied diet is always best no matter what the food type. I do not believe earthworms have much caloric value as compared to other live food sources, so exclusive feeding wouldn't necessarily be an option anyway. Hopefully somone can shed some more light on the subject for you.
