I ask This I Have A135g How many of the stone pads that blow bubbles should i get......... can u elaborate on why i should have this and the benefits to it thank you

all you need is surface agitation... you dont need air pumps... a spray bar will do it... or a wet/dry filter also provides gas exchage.

:iagree: airstone putting loads of oxygen in the water is some what of a myth.
they put very little oxygen in water

airstones provide good current in the water lifting bottom water to the surface

many small bubles have a fair amoun t of surface area for gas exchange

when the bubble break at the surface the also reduce surface tension and the agitation allows more gas exchange

the warmer the water the more important it is to keep the O2 saturated
