how important is personality

Well I can't choose so I keep both. I have beautifull fish and I also have FH with huge personalities. My orange FH has tons of personality and my kml is a looker that just swims around and pays no attention to me. My JK is just a big fat pig now that has neither... lolmidasman714;2535283; said:

haven't seen the "orange" one tho.depends what I want the fish for. Personality doesn't mean anything for breeders. Solo fish must have a good personality.

for me beauty and interaction go hand ad hand with a solo nurtured fish.
give the fish good stimulation/activity and the rewards can be great.

i voted for personallity, I kinda buy a fish for the look but more for the personallity of the fish, i dont breed and i want to just have fun with the fish and watch it greet you and chases your finger, my fish doesn't chase my finger but when i put my face up to the glass it was to bite my head off =)
It would depend what type of keepers. If for show off and competition, I'd have to keep the lookers. If for pet, I'd got for personality.
If my fish is boring(had 1 before), it better look the best of all fishes I can get a hold of or it's gone. The one I was was super beautiful, but it's gone cuz it's so boring.
If to choose between the 2, I'd have to weight out the 2 attributes.

i have a 4 inch very trimac looking female who has an awesome personality. i was upset at first that she didn't turn out, but she always greets me and swims back flips in her tank. she is mean and likes to torture other fish, even plecos. she has a long body and no pearls. but she is staying with me until she dies
