weird:screwy: maybe since heat rises it doesn't effect the temp. of the water below as much as one would think. and since there's no "ceiling" on the fryer the heat always remains going up, maybe totally wrong but it sounds good:naughty:

that can't be real.There is no way it wouldn't raise the tank water temp.I know the 2 fluids don't mix but you still have the surface area between oil and the water to transfer the heat.It's probably a different batch of oil underneath.
 
plus, how does oxygen get into the tank?
