Hey guys, I'm just curious on my reptile enclosure, it currently holds one bearded dragon, forgot the morph lol. Well this is a wooden cage with sliding plexi glass in the front for viewing. Their is also a screen top.

Set Up:

48ft by 18in by 18in wooden tank

screen top

sliding plexi glass

lock

In tank set up:

Water Bowl

Food Bowl

magnatural basking ledge

jungle vine

piece of drift wood

hiding area in the cool side

hiding area on warm side

substrate is reptile bark

heat lamp

Thats it for my set up. Is their any changes i should do for my bearded dragon who measures about a foot long? Do i need to add anything else? Remove anything? I want to try to make this tank very enjoyable for my beard lol. I will post a pic maybe tomorrow.;)

As long as the heat and humidity is where it should and you clean all the decoration thoroghly there isnt really a problem. I wouldnt keep a bearded dragon on bark though.

does it have UVA/ UVB? other than that it sounds great

48 feet sounds a lil on the big side for 1 beardie.
also id take out the bark. and make sure he has uva/uvb

I just noticed that too... Maybe he just loves his beardie and wants to give him alot of space :screwy:

The standard size everyone suggests is 4feet long...

lol hey guys busy all day today... It looks like I need to get tav bulb lol. I kinda wanted to have two beards, but it may be hard to introduce one now...right? For the substrate i was kind thinking abbot placing sand mostly because he is larger. In order for me to do that I may purchase plexi glass and make a hidden box for the bottom of the cage and fill it worth sand. THis will at least avoid sand in the would it self lol....aspen to i can probably use. I'm not saying tile is a bad idea I just want to try and make it look natural...I will try and get pics maybe now or tomorrow...

Wow FAIL! I accidentally put 48 feet not 4feet.....Imagine a 48 foot long bearded dragon tank?

If you are going for natural, don't use aspen bedding...and not all sand. There is a risk of impaction at all ages, so why risk it...and beardies live all over australia...grassy areas too.

I wouldn't put another beardie in the tank, one will kill the other...they are solitary animals
