my tank has been set up for about 10days now, i tested my water today and its perferct....how is this possible....to see history of what ive done to the tank visit my tanks page linked in my signature....any hlep is appreciated

Usually you have to have a creature in their to start the ammonia cycle..........You have a couple in there, right??????????????Tell you the truth, I have been running my tanks on a system startup for about 20 years now with no flaw.............I cycle the water for about 10 days with a couple feeder fish, medium sized goldfish or COnvict Cichlids......I also have snails running around the system, inside the tank and inside the filter..........After about a week and a half to two weeks, I get my new fish.....................
I didn't read your other thread, but if it cycled that fast,I would verify that your test kit is working properly.

That is a good point. its only about a year old, and ive been using it on my 150g as well and it seems to be doing ok. ill will look into making sure it is.
