I am thinking of buying a new baby endlicheri bichir. It will be about 4" long. How large will it have to be before I can add it to my larger tank with my 18" endlicheri bichir and 15" ornate bichir? I also have in my large tank a 13" ornate and 14" endlicheri bichir.

I would say when it is 40-50% the girth of your 18" endli. Its always a risk. I really want to break down my grow out poly tank, buy I'm too chicken to add my babies to the comm tank at the moment :/
Will it get to this size in a 55 gallon growout tank? How long will it take?
it should i had my endli in a 29 til it got around 10" and moved it to a larger tank so i could get some smaller stuff. mines about a foot now and took about a year to grow from 3"
