how long arowana can lived in aquarium ?

I heard that you will go to jail if you catch wild arowana in Indonesia, and there aren't that many to catch! usually they say arowana can live up to 20 years in aquarium!
yup thats illegal, but some native in Papua Island they can take only the fries but they must released the mommy, as far as i knew..hehe
Cutting down rain forests, dynamite fishing is illegal it's a matter of country's having the resources to implement . On the plus side at least the fish isn't going to end up on centre piece at a Chinese wedding. I've had to import an Asian aro though the cities system which is costly the difference being it came from an aro farm, but still technically removing a fish from its country, although if there was no financial gain these farms wouldn't exist so the numbers would be greatly reduced. If you can keep a native fish which other wise might be caught and sold on black market in asia good luck to you.
