How long b4 ild bacteria dies

So I have an old saltwater tank that I am currently converting to freshwater today and I want to know how long will b4 so bacteria of the old salt system will die I sold everything in super super super hot water

When the media it on dries out it dies . You probably killed it with the super hot water.
