im looking for a nice big mean fish for my tank its a 135 gallon and i was wondering how long could i keep a dovii in it? i was thinking probably until it gets close to the length of the side so it could turn around the width is 18" i would be prepared to upgrade by the end of the year so im wondering how long would this setup work?

oh i forgot to mention i dont have a dovii yet i wouldnt jump into something this big until im sure i have it planned out
i was hoping somewhere around there but does anybody know a place i can order wild dovii i know about jeff rapps but i really want a true wild male not a f1 male if theres any sites you know tat carry these wild fish let me know pleasw

Great idea. You can really go fishing for one. And I've never seen wild ones on wholesalers list's but you can get some great colour strains with F1's. Why not try a Jag? Or do you solely want a single Dovii? If the depth of your tank is 18". Move him out when he is 12". Then a tank with a depth of 2.5 Ft would be suitable. A footprint of 7x2.5 Ft will suffice IMO. If not longer.
rapps has them ocassionally, i got a piar from him last winter, worth the wait if your not in a hurry
