how long before fry?

How long does it take from he time a african cichlid ( Mbuna) starts holding until the fry hatch ?

I believe it's 2-4 weeks. 3 weeks or so some people strip to ensure they don't get eaten.

Usually 23-26 days depending on the fish. Occasionally longer.

I have also heard that they will hold for less time at higher water temps. You could always do as I do, and strip the fry once it gets close to birth time.

i think 3-4 weeks when i was keeping them.higher temps would speed up the young's hatching.i tried to keep the female separate from the group if i could catch them,to give her some peace from the others
