If he's anything like my girl River I give it a week - maybe two, before all your rooted plants become floating plants.

Which reminds me, I need to get some pics of her and update her thread... Its been a while

Actually It might be alright, that grass is one of the few plants most my cichlids won’t mess with

It maybe ok. Now that mine has gotten more established they don't pull them out anymore. Just yank leaves out or break them off now and then.
Mine did best with rocks anchoring them down till their roots had a chance to grow.
This was taken a month ago, so they have since sent out more runners/baby plants.

I just wish I could figure out how to get them to thrive.
