how long before i need to upgrade?

so i got 8 severums( 4 green and 4 yellow) 4 firemouth and 2 green texas for my 65 gallon tank( 48 X 18 X 18 inches)
all of them are about 1 inch in size,
1.how long before i have to upgrade to a larger tank??
2.i may reduce the no of sevrums when the grow bigger but any idea about their growth rate?
3. when i upgrade how large would i have to go??

If you stay on top of your water changes, I think you'll be good for about a year. Sevs don't grow too quickly IME. I would look for a 6ft 125 at the minimum. I like 6ft 150gals better personally. Same footprint as a 125, just taller.

Agreed. IME all those fish are slow growers.

You have plenty of time size wise.

If the fish start to pair off though, you may have to do something about that.

Agree on about a year. I will also second the need to keep an eye on possible pairing (8+ months away at the earliest). You will need to start doing large 50-75% water changes twice a week once all the fish hit about 4-5".

if the fishes start pairing up i would shift the pairs to other tanks
can i add a few bristle nose plecos along with this fishes??the plecos are currently 2-2.5 inches in another grow out, or should i wait for a few more months and let the plecos grow up?

I don't forsee an issue with adding those plecos to the 65.

Also agree. Had 3 for over a year and they are about 6" now
