I bought a red mammon about 2 months ago, since then ive only seen him eat twice,
In my tank he just wants to harass all other fish and doesnt eat, ive tried pellets, beefheart and fresh fish,
I only saw him eat twice , once was a small piece of chicken breasst and the 2nd time was a piece of superworm, but since then i have not seen him eat again:( i transferred him to a hospital tank and treated with metronidazole.

Now he is in my pond, i have not seen him eat he has been in there for 4 days now, i do see him chase some fish.
Should I be worried? Any suggestions? This piece is quite aggressive.

I'm not sure about your specific species. However I do have Armatus in my tank and he went 73 days without eating a single thing. But he finally ate.

Perhaps your fish is just going on a hunger strike as mine did.

Thanks :) a red mammon i like a flowerhorn or those parrot fish:) i hooe he eats something in my pond :)

A healthy fish can easily go for months and months without food. No need to panic until stomach is noticeably shrinking in

could always try garlic pellet foods, I've heard mention that they can be very enticing. Saying that, it's hard to find an enticing substitute for live; so it may just be that he's getting used to things, or that perhaps there is an underlying cause such as parasites to consider

thanks guys :) I was feeding the chicken breast to my datnoids.
ran out of shrimps that time. and he snatched one.
