How long can BB last without fish??

I have a new tank setup and the fish are coming tomorrow. Should I move one of the filters over to the new tank tonight or wait until tomorrow?

tank 1 100g Long
AC110 and a LifeGard Fluidized Bed Filter FB300

tank 2 (new tank) 90g Standard
AC110 and an FX5


I was going to move the AC110 from the old tank to the new tank.

The bb need s food to survive, mening ammonia/crystals etc.....So to long is not good..

i would move it tonight, when i set my new one up i moved them asap. over night wont kill it.

id wait till tomorrow and add 20% old water just to make sure theres plenty for them to eat...
