I'm just wondering so I know when my deadline to build my new tank is.
I'm going to build a 3ft tank for a pair but it's not going to be completed anytime soon. The angelfishes body is a coin dollar size right now. Just a bit over the size of a quarter.

Thanks in advance. :D

you have a while then. I had full grown angelfish in a 55 and that tank did find for them. but it was bare bottom, i would do at least a 25-30 inch high tank when your angelfish get to be full grown.

"24" high" isn't a lot of information, we are going to need all the dimensions to be able to help you. A 24" high tank could be a 180 gallon, or it could be a 45 gallon or some smaller oddly shaped tank, so there is no way to know with just one dimension given.

yes how big is the tank/

A 24 inch high tank is fine for Angels. Allow 10 gallons or more per Angel and you'll be fine for the life of the Angels.

I know somebody who breeds big pairs of Angels in as little as 5 gallons for a pair, successfully consistently. He's been raising huge Colombian Altums in a 75 gallon tank which is less than 24 inch with no problems. His current batch of 14 is now more than two years old in it.

The more space and gallons of water you provide per Angel, the easier it would be to maintain water quality for the health and long life of the fish. Another aspect you can control as far as water quality is concerned is the amount and frequency of feeding. The more you feed them the more water should be changed frequently.
