once again, im so sorry for so many question... im currently having this pbass addiction growing everyday!!!:nilly:

Looks like a Mono.
I just got the new TFH mag and there's an interesting article talking about fish size relating to tank space. I'm not sure how to answer after reading that article.

Your pbass is definitely a mono and yes around 10" or so it could very well color up like the mono you have pictured. As far as how much longer it can stay in your 55, that is a tough question to answer. The 55 is already pretty small for this guy as they can get moving really quick. I would certainly recommend that you get him something larger before he hits the 10" mark.

75G should be good for him alone, but 100G+ would be better.

I am sure you are already running into problems with him darting across the tank and running into things when feeding or scared.

As he gets bigger this problem will only intensify. It should be pretty obvious when it is time for a new home.I don't think a P-bass can ever truly be happy in an aquarium because of the speeds they can reach but the bigger the better. It is generally excepted that anything that is 8 foot long and 3 or preferably 4 foot wide will make a suitable home for an adult.

Hope this helps :)

I would upgrade ASAP.

He probably already feels cramped.

Your pbass could deffinately end up looking like the pbass in the pic you posted. Just give it some time to color up.
