I just reserved a 3" RTC on the phone with my LFS and I'm picking up a 150g this weekend and I was gonna put the RTC with 2-3 Siamese Tiger Dats. And I was wondering how long I could keep my RTC with this stocking, The reason I got the RTC is I need some extra $$$ to get a Jardini for the 150g so I'm gonna trade him in when he get's huge. How much do you think I could get for a 15" or 18" RTC? If I cannot get a good deal with my LFS I can always go to the marketplace on here and I know someone with a pond will most likely pay atleast $80.

why would anyone pay for an rtc?

Lets just think this through, your buying it small and not big because why? and your going to sell it because? and you expect some one to buy it for more than you paid....?

LMAO

i see people begging people to take their rtc's

And you have not answered my question.....?

This doesn't make too much sense. You wont be able to keep the RTC or very long, you wont get much (if any) more than you paid, and you willhave a hard time finding someone to "buy" it

I was trying to point out nicely that your plan is stupid.

Get a job, and buy a jardini... simple.

BTW if you can't afford the jardini what are you going to do when you need a 180 plus for the jardini and the dats? I suggest you don't buy either actually.

He will eat your fish. Maybe. If he is in there long enough. Anyway! bad idea bro. When there big and chuncky and what not, you would have to PAY someone to get him off your hands. So you may pay $20 for him now but you'll sell him for like $10-$5 when he reaches his medium size.

Exactly why I was asking the questions, Now I've learned my plan is a complete failure I may just go with Datnoids instead and a Jardini possibly.

;)

Keep in mind once jardinis hit 8 inches they will usually turn on any fish. It could possibly kill all your dats.

I would suggest putting the jardini with tiger barbs before executing your plan so you don't lose any fish for future reference.

good luck and congrats on the 150 pick up :D
