Hi all! This is my first post on here and I could use answers asap. I have a 72 gallon bowfront and a fluval 404 that keeps giving me nothing but troubles :nilly:. It has stopped and I can't get parts for it until tomorrow afternoon. How long can a Jack Dempsy, Nile Tilapia and Shovelnose Redtail X last without circulation? Thanks for any thoughts on this. Help needed.

Nope. I was told that the 404 would be enough. The fish aren't gasping which I know mean low oxygen. I've been circulating by hand occasionally for the last couple hours.

Go to Walmart and get a ten dollar air pump, and two five dollar battery powered air pumps. Run the plug in pump tonight and until you get a different filter. Keep the battery powered pumps stored away for when you really need them.

REALLY circulate it by hand. Even take out 5 gallons in a bucket and then pour it back in.

Have you taken out your media and placed it in the tank water? If you haven't by now your bacteria colonly is probably dead...

Yeah that was what I meant. Thanks for the info/ideas/thoughts. Much appreciated and here's hoping that this pain in the butt filter can be up and running tomorrow. It is great to have a website like this for when you don't know what is best to do. Thanks again!
