How long can pirahna's go with out eating?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
depending on how big they are, yes...i'm no expert but i'd say that once they are 4"-6" they can be fed less often

what size are your rbp's?
shouldn't be feeding rosy red, they are not so good for your p's.
you can switch to fish fillet, shrimp, smelts, etc those would probably be cheaper in the long run and more healthy for your fish.
depends on size they can go for a while without food.

Zero money? You could probably find $2 in change in your couch and get a single piece of fillet talipia at the local market and probably still have change left over and feed your Ps for a few weeks if not a whole month (depending on what you have and the size)

I'm not at all judging you though. Everybody places different value on their pets and their money and you seem like a fairly decent guy

+1

They can go around 4-6 months in the dry season without food (other than each other), but be prepared to watch them waste away, cannibalize each other, and if you feed rosy reds, possibly starve to death secondary to parasitic infection.
