HOW LONG CAN THIS CARRY ON?

hi,
i have 2 FHs, 1 frontosa, a venustus and another malawi but i dont know what it is.
the FHs and front get on fine but the venustus and other malawi have declared war on the FHs . they are all about 3inches. now i got them knowing i would have to seperate them when they got a bit older, just didnt figure it would be this soon.
do you think it will be ok till xmas? or they may beat the FHs by that point?

what size tank............29 gallon they will be dead soon........500 gallon you have no problems.

i would have thought they would be ok but it really does depend on tank size, as mentioned!

Try the flowerhorn or old world cichlid forums.

iam also trying something a wee bit dodgy, what size tank are we talking about, cant remember, if its relentlass beatings then sounds bad,

right its a 70gal, but i do have a another 70 gal which the malawis are going in to around xmas because i will then be able to afford to pay my mum the electic bills lol.
so they will be going to that tank in a month or so, but i think my FHs are really good so dont want them hurt and iv noticed my female has nibbled fins and a chunk bitten out of her head....dont get me wrong they can fend for themselves just dont want my babies hurt lol

are they being harrased or all out beat up? chasing and harrassing is alll common in the cichlid world, we have it daily in our tanks, some cichlids just dont like thir tank mates. so is it bad or just slight harrassing?

its only started happening last night. since iv had them it was just chasing, but now its ganging up and pushing my female in to the corner of the tank, the male soon comes and rescues her but thats not the point lol. but there is alot of splashing around at the top (obviously lol) i think they are chasing them out of the tank lol....i have the lid heavily weighed down with the 2 giant african landsnails haha

hehe not so much of a project just i love oscars so much i couldnt help myself, iam not sure with your situation, if its relentless beating then you might have to do something, can you devide the tank?
