how long do API FRESHWATER MASTER TEST kits last?

i just picked up a API test kit from petco an on the packaging an bottle the year reads 2006 an i was wondering how long are they good for i dont see an expiration date ANYWHERE!!

Thats a good question because some of my API test fluids are from the mid nineties.

06 is the trademark onthe back of every bottle. Look at the lot number the last 4 digits are the date of manufacture. mine is 04/08

For API:

On the front label of your test bottles, there is a "Lot No." The last four digits of this number correspond to the date of manufacture.
For example, my Ammonia test kit is stamped:
"Lot No. 83B0907"
This means it was manufactured 09 (September) of 2007.
All of the test kit solutions are guaranteed up to 3 years after date of manufacture.
