i have a 90g aquarium in which i keep a 2" jd, 1.5" convict, 1" managuense, 1" midas, and 1" escondido ... do i have any shot of keeping them all happy in this tank as adults? if not, how long do i have before they start squabbling? mike

Even if they magically got along with each other, the tank is still too small to house them all. A 90 is a good size tank for a solo Midas or Jag. Anyways, I give you a few months before they start fighting.

I've done this before and I def don't recommend it since it might end in a bunch of dead fish but two big cichlids and by big I mean no more than 12" and a bunch of dithers could work. You'd need crazy good filtration though. I'd lose the mana and the midas they're gonna get too big. I was thinking of getting rid of my mana but he doesn't bother anyone..... or move much for that matter lol.

tks for the responses, i guess i'm hoping the escondido is a female (the jd and convict are females) and of not getting too attached to the managuense or midas ...
