i recently purchased a small amazon sword plant with a couple of broken and dying leaves.
i got it for quite cheap since it was damaged. the plant is on a piece of driftwood and not in the soil. i have read that plants on driftwood reply completely on the lighting they get and none from the roots and that the roots are only a support.
so my question is, how long do i have to leave a 40watt light on a day for my plant to have sufficient photosynthesis. my mum is tight with he electricity. really really tight.
thanks for reading
