i have 2 week old free swimming fry but wondered if they are like convicts that can look after them for months ! I have fry tank whens it best to move them

Most cichlids will watch until they get like 3/4 an inch. After they get bigger though than the real tiny stage they just sort of let them do what they want. I would say you have a good month if not more easily ahead of you.
But you can take the fry out anytime, the red devils will just spawn again.
thanks for info i have scooped about 10 fry into another tank . Now will sit back and watch parents behaviour
