Having moved my aro on I'm now able to add some new fish to my tank! I'm not interested in trying to treat 2000L for whitespot or anything else, so the new arrivals are currently sitting in quarantine, and I'm interested in hearing other peoples (those who bother to) quarantine regimes.
How long do you keep them isolated? Any precautionary meds or other special treatment?

I usually keep my new guys separate for 3-4 weeks. No special treatment unless they show signs of stress/sickness.

I have not quarantined a new fish in the 30 years I've been fishkeeping.

One week with prazi and nitrofurazone.

Sent from my SM-N900T using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

2-3 months. No meds unless they are wild caught, then I would treat with Prazi pro

Usually not at all. I pour them into a net, dump the water and Plop! I buy 99% of my fish from Jurassic Aquatics and I know Mike treats for parasites and keeps awhile before he ships. I also trade fish with friends I trust. I haven't bought any from a shop in years.

Cheers for the responses. I should have mentioned that these are just general LFS fish, nothing wild caught or exceptionally fragile or prone to illness. In the past I would have gladly dumped them straight in the tank but with the large volume of my current set up I thought I had better start taking a few precautions!
