How long does aquarium silicon last?

I'm thinking of putting a tank right outside the slide glass door of my mom bedroom so she can watch the gold fish from the inside; my concern is how long does the silicon sealing last with all the sun light before it start to leak? Can you guys give me some knowledge about this? Thanks in advavce.

Possibly 10+ years, Mine hasn't leaked yet.

Tip: Paint the outside edge (1/2"-3/4") of the aquarium where the silicone is (like a frame) to keep the sun off of it.

I have 2-22 year old 55 gallons still setup. Have never had a leak yet. Better yet forget that I said anything. Knocking on wood.
