how long does dyi blackwater extract SAFELY last?

Just curious...I made a decent gallons worth about 1 year ago and use some of it, and the rest just sat there...do you guys think its still good/safe to use, or don't risk it, and just make some more...

How'd ya make it? Pretty much everything has some kind of shelf life I'd guess.
 
Well,considering its cheap to make I would probably just toss it and make a new batch.Maybe ask the O.P. of that link/diy article what he does.
