So i got a peacock bass and put it right into my good take..ik bad idea. Well after i fed all the fish i remembered how challenging it is to get a fish off live when its with many other fish so i took him out that same day and put him in a 20 long. The next day i got him off live:headbang2 but i noticed he now had sighns of ich. So im treating him for ich now no big deal..except now im worried that he could have transfered ich to my other fish when he was in the other tank.

Is that possible? he was in there for only about 4 hours.

Thanks

Did you put the fish in alone? Or with the water it came with? It's possible there was free floating ICH in the water the fish came with. It's possible your fish won't get infected. I would keep an eye on the tank and wait a few weeks before adding anything new just to be sure.

Ok just the fish went in the tank with none of the water it came in..I will keep watching and see what happens

It can transfer almost immediately, but you may not see it right away.

keep the temp up a little and it will speed up the life of ich. should b gone in a couple days
