How long does it take a BGK to grow?

I'm getting my BGK next thursday...i think he's 7.5 cm in length, how long do u guys think he will take to get big? I'm keeping him in a 400L until this november then i'll upgrade to a 1000L tank. I wanted to keep him with another knife, but worried that they may fight. im not getting a clown knife, was told they get huge so i might be able to accomodate the clown knife.

They are slow growers, Mine took about 1 1/2 yr for it to reach 11 inches. just feed them meaty foods like blood worms etc. DOn't overfeed them or they might encounter liver problems.

Try feeding 2x a day but I think feeding him once a day is alright, but if you notice that he's getting fat (you'll notice that in his lower neck area is bulging), try getting him on a diet maybe 3-4 days or maybe a week.

hmmm ok i'll feed him twice a day until he starts eating well and active etc (hopefully he will be like that when he arrives) and then after a month or two i will only feed him 4 times a week.

i currently have my ghost knife whos about 7in with a 5in african knife they get along fine

REALLY REALLY slow grower
i feed them frozen krill mostly they eat it up also blood worms and tubefex worms my african will eat flakes

dont forget to put some hiding places in the tank, a cave or a hollow wood (if you got it) something he can hide in.. and be patient with your new guy coz you wont be seeing him in the day hehe..

Mine grew from about 6 inches to about ten in eight months.
