The fish are between 1" and 2". They are Green Terrors and Flowerhorns, if that matters.

One of my moonlight goruamis had its "whisker" taken off somehow an its taken about 2months to fully grow back that was about 2.5" in lengh

my GTs fins get nipped once in a while and they grow back so fast that i forget there was anything wrong with it from the start. im assuming its the same with the flowerhorn
oscars especially have really fast healing fins

youre looking at 1 week. sometimes in a few days.

edit: this thread is a week old so their fins are probably back to normal.

Pick up some melafix and that will help speed up the process.. Depending on how badly theya re nipped. It shouldn't be too long if the damage isn't brutal...

Melafix will speed it up ;)

Thanks to all, the fins on most of the fish have grown back completely, and the rest are almost complete. I had a FH that had a fin nipped to the nub, and it completely grew back.

my gt had bad fin nip, seemed like it grew back in two days. and i have had my red devil for about three days now, and when i first got him he had bad fins, there now completly fine.

I think a lot of it depends on the fish itself and your water conditions. I noticed my cr. sveni had his dorsal torn in two places two days ago, I took a look at him last night and he's almost healed all the way back up!
