how long does it take for ramshorn snails to lay eggs......

.....and how long does it take for them to hatch? i'm doing a science experiment where i test the reproductive ability of snails in a higher pH than snails in a normal pH....but first i need snails from the same parent. i currently have 6 snails in 6 different cups. is there any way they will at least lay eggs before monday? and for ramshorns, what IS a normal pH?

i had them laying eggs about every 8 days with a ph of 6.8... every 5 days or so there would be a ummm.... "gathering" and then anywhere from a 2-4 days later i would start seeing lots of new clutches of eggs...

this went on for about 2 months till everyone went out on the lawn... the birds loved it
